Teacher Luncheons
Treating our Vandora Springs Staff family with good food is something that our PTA does throughout the year! We feed the staff on our SOAR Nights because they do not have time to grab dinner before the family engagement night begins. We also feed them on some workdays as a Thank You for all they do for our children each day.
If you're interested in donating food, food supplies (cutlery, cups, drinks, napkins, plates), or your time to home help us set up, serve, and clean up, please email Jessica Hayes! Donating can be as easy as dropping donated food or items off during morning carpool! We will share volunteer opportunities in the Eagles' News Brief as they arise, and we would LOVE to have you help us in this way!

Holiday Shop
December 4-8, 2023
December 4-8, 2023
For one week in December, the VSE PTA opens a low-cost Holiday Shop within the school using Jenny's Penguin Patch! Students visit the shop and purchase gifts for their family and friends! These are gifts that are picked out by them and wrapped by school staff, our PTA, and volunteers! Kids are so excited to give these gifts that Mom, Dad or Grandma have never seen!
Using the Penguin Patch Kids' Holiday Shop offers the perfect balance of fun and function. Our program brings together volunteers, parents, and teachers for the benefit of every student. The gifts range from 50 cents to $13 each, so there is something for everyone! The students get the excitement of shopping and the experience of budgeting! Our PTA provides support for students who wouldn't otherwise be able to participate. Each child's teacher is assigned a specific day and time that your student will come to shop, if they choose to.
Watch your students smile & giggle as they shop for holiday gifts for family and friends. Volunteers and families will crack up or sometimes even tear up listening to the students explain why they selected each present. Volunteers can be rewarded with Holiday Shop bucks which are raffled daily. This is a favorite annual event for many. This event needs a lot of volunteers throughout the week to set up, help guide shopping, tally up purchases (using a unique Holiday Shop calculator), wrap gifts, and clean up. If you are interested in this event, please reach out to Bonnie Fagley or Dawn Wicker. There will be specific information that comes home closer to the event and keep your eyes out for a sign up located in the Eagles' News Brief closer to the event. We can't wait to see your students there!

Boosterthon
February 1-9, 2024
Fun Run February 9
At Vandora Springs Elementary, we have one main fundraiser each school year. We use the company Booster and they join our school on campus for 10 days of fun, fitness, and character training! There is a lot of excitement, a daily team pep rally, and a character lesson that evolves each day throughout the program. The main event is a Fun Run in which the whole school participates! The Fun Run does not require volunteers but instead, families are encouraged to come watch their child run! The funds we raise during our Boosterthon event are used to support PTA programs for the students, supplement teacher needs, buy extra technology for the classrooms, and make other large purchases for the school as needed. Click here to learn more about the Boosterthon company!
In addition to the Fun Run event, we find local business sponsors which gives us the ability to purchase a school Fun Run T-shirt for every student at no cost to their families. These shirts are worn by the whole school on Fun Run day! You will see the banner of our former sponsors hanging in our school!
If you know someone or have a business that is interested in sponsoring, please let us know by emailing Valentina Stubley! Specific Boosterthon information comes through the Eagles' News Brief each fall.
